Psilocybe Cubensis: "Great White Monster"

This mushroom's spores were sent to me by a good friend who works as a "Mold Inspector." He assesses the amount of damage in your home due to mold. Then he gives a quote based on the extent of the mold damage and how to get rid of it using mold inhibiting chemicals once the root of the problem is found.

So the story goes that this mushroom was accidentally made into an albino by mold inhibiting chemicals being sprayed on it unintentionally thinking it was water. The chemicals were absorbed by the otherwise normal cubensis and it ended up mutating the DNA structure. Subsequent flushes also produced a creamy white mushroom which meant that the strain had officially mutated and is a stable permanent mutation creating all creamy white flushes, with a few hints of tint here and there depending on the amount of light given.

"Created by NHMI by accident, GWM was a legitimate cross of PR and regular A-strain. After being exposed to a quaternary reactive ammonium siloxane, the GWM was born. This is the only cubie known to have both albino and leuistic spores. Its' pigmented counterpart is the GBM." -NHMI

**However the GWM we have in stock now, does produce dark spores and as far as we know all of them have had non-leucistic spores.**

This strain grows tall fruit bodies with almost perfect beautiful round cap. I noticed that the veil stays on the cap after it has pretty much opened all the way, looking like stretched latex. The veil comes off without any damage and hangs in its entirety under the cap once its fully opened. The neatest veil I have seen in a while.

Mycelium speed is average, the fruit bodies take a bit longer to develop than other cubensis in its early stage but after it passes the 2" mark it just stretches very fast as well as maturing very fast and having some considerably tall fruits as well as some smaller ones. It seems as though its almost impossible to get equal sized fruits with this one. It tends to like to produce a few monsters along with some smaller ones. In small substrates it enjoys to produce 1 HUGE monster at a time.
