These cultures are clones from a huge expresso oyster mushroom fruited from a 7 lb substrate. It was about 7" wide.

We are offering fully colonized agar plates with thick mycelial growth that can be used to innoculate literally houndreds of pounds of spawn or substrate. Starting from culture is not as hard as one might think. It provides a much faster colonization than spores would. Under sterile conditions cut a piece or pieces of the agar and put inside of a spawn bag or jar with the right growing medium. Colonization should be visible within 2-3 days. Many culture syringes can also be made from our colonized agar plates by blending the culture in a sterilized blender with distilled sterilized water, and under sterile conditions (preferably under a flow hood), suck the solution into syringes. It might take up to 4 weeks for syringes to be ready for use depending on temperature. Realistically you can make around 28 10cc syringe cultures from one plate.
