It has very distinguished looks.
Pins start out as huge extremely wide "babies" and shortly after appearance, they develop a dark, redish, deeply contrasting cap color, covering most of the body of the mushroom.
Pins can often reach widths of 2" inches.
As fruit bodies grow to maturity, they stay wide, but do not grow very tall.
They can be grown on cakes successfully, but it does a lot better on casings and bulk substrates.
First flushes can yield very fat and short mushrooms, but second and thereafter flushes can yield taller mushrooms with a usually lighter cap color upon maturity.
Abort count can be high.
A very unique and extremely potent strain. One of the most unique that we've ever seen as well as one of the most potent.
These mushrooms have been eaten in Thailand for years.
Every month, thousands of people gather in something called the full moon festival in Thailand. This mushroom is consumed at the festival and used religiously to bring people closer to God.
Classic varietyI have been trying to find this variety for a long time. Had it years ago and after getting a lot of subpar genetics, I finally found it here. I ordered when there was especially cold weather in my area and it arrived quickly with a handwarmer in there. Great service, love the solution that is used in the "old school" syringes. More than worth the price!
Great specimanThese are great and powerful and easy to grow but they do have alot of aborts and hard to keep out mold "was for me anyway" but it is a great strain and worth the trouble. They look f-ing awesome!!!
Another awesome product from E.T..I received my syringe of KS spores as a replacement, one of the syringes I ordered was out of stock and I'm so glad it was! Koa Samui is by far my favorite strain so far.
