Pakalensis
Original print was made in a plain piece of paper which was printed literally in the field. The print was cleaned out on agar and sent to our partners overseas to further study. Constant updates were being sent to us on progress.First Cultivation attempt on dung didn't do too well for some reason. This is was one of the few that made it out of the first attempt.A second attempt was made with "ET MiX" casing soil which has a good mix of several ingredients. They were kept inside the bag as most other strains love. They did not appreciate to be kept enclosed and these specimens above were the first somewhat decent fruit-bodies. They were very short and just small in general.More fanning and misting was done to produce this much better looking specimen above. However they were still kept inside the bag using bag clamps to open and shut easily. This specimen was the first to be cloned. Called it "Best of 1st Gen Pakalensis." This was a little more encouraging but we decided to try something different. We decided that the "Pakalensis" just did not enjoy a closed environment like the bags. The bags were almost entirely removed down to the last 1/2 inch and put inside a greenhouse with integrated fans and ultrasonic humidification. Temperature was 70 degrees F. Within 24 hours we could tell they were loving it and within a few days the block just started going off! Beautiful fruits with nipples on the cap were everywhere. About 50% of all fruit-bodies had a very pronounced and very pointy nipple.A pretty specimen somewhat young still with the nipple.Another beautiful specimen more mature with the pointy nipple. This mushroom was decided to be cloned and added as possible finalist candidates. I would love it if 100% of fruits had nipple.... but back to what i believe in genetics.....Original is always best.Mature "Pakalensis" Cubensis.Above view of block.Side view of block. The blueing reaction of this mushroom is spectacular and instant. I gotta say it has to be one of, if not the most extreme blueing reactions Ive seen on any Cubensis before. Reports on potency confirm higher than normal psilocybin content. This photo is without flash 10 seconds after cut. This photo is with flash of same mushroom. The final "Pakalensis"... for now. We are very glad that we did not give up on this mushroom so quickly as this is definitely a keeper strain and we are most certain that it is an ALL ORIGINAL strain.

First a little about Palenque, Chiapas... The ancient mystical Mayan archaeological city. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palenque

A little bit on ancient Mayan astronauts. The King Pakal Votan (ruler of the Mayan world around 600 AD) and his burial stone cover explains where he's from and where hes going after death as one theory explains. Another explains the Mayans might have encountered visitors from the sky. The nickname "Pakalensis" for this mushroom is dedicated and based on this Ancient Mayan Ruler who is said to have descended from the stars. I believe from the constellation Orion. http://youtu.be/D1aXg7jQtsE

The "Pakalensis" Mushroom was found in Chiapas, Palenque Mexico in early 2013. Originally found by our friend Pekon Metsa who was with us in our 2012 Mushroom Hunting Expedition in Mexico. He spent some time in Palenque and sent us a wild print to work with.

This strain is NOT the "Palenque" strain that has been around for a long time in case you are wondering. Locals confirmed 3 strains of Cubensis in a single field and 2 Panaeolus as well.

The "Palenque" strain has been around for many many years. Palenque is world famous for its rich culture and ancient past including its many well preserved pyramids and amazing ancient structures. It is also a place full of powerful energy which is easily felt if you spend some time there. Amongst the things that Palenque is famous for is its natural occurring psilocibin mushrooms and attracts tourists from all over the world just to find and experience their Native Mushrooms. Something I've learned throughout the years And through working with wild specimens is that they lose a lot Of Their Magic after a few generations. Original wild specimens and first generation cultivation from original will always be better in every way. They retain most of the original genetics and the energy from their home town.

This is an original Psilocybe Cubensis strain first generation from wild brought to you by Earth's Tongue and named in honor of the Mayan King Pakal. Original specimens were found close to Pakals famous tomb.

Updates are showing this to be one of, if not the most potent cubensis strain around.

Love this strain!First of all, thank you ET for the excellent service! This strain took a little while to colonize but it's ok because it made up for it in the end. Fast pins and even growth. I highly recommend it! Written by musikman1 on Tue 5 Jul 2016 10:38:41 PM GMT
